$32–$35/hour | 20 Guaranteed Hours | 9-Month Role
A professional Austin household is seeking an experienced Family Assistant to support daily household operations and provide occasional assistance with two school-aged children.
This role is best suited to a candidate who enjoys a collaborative household environment and takes initiative in maintaining an organized, well-functioning home.
Start Date: March 17, 2026
Schedule: Weekday afternoons (approx. 1:00pm–5:00pm)
Hours: 20 guaranteed hours weekly
Compensation: $32–$35/hour (W-2)
Household Overview
The household includes two children (ages 11 and 8), both neurodivergent, a German Shepherd, and an au pair who assists part of the year. The parents are actively involved in the children’s education and daily routines.
The home is currently undergoing a renovation, creating a dynamic environment that benefits from an organized and proactive assistant.
Role Overview
The position blends household management support (approximately 70%) with occasional child-related assistance (approximately 30%).
Primary responsibilities include:

Family meal preparation and kitchen maintenance

Household laundry and organization

Errands and household inventory management

General tidying and home resets

Preparing snacks and supporting daily routines

Assisting with homeschool materials and workspace organization

Playing educational games or assisting children with light academic tasks when needed

Supporting household projects and organization during renovation
No driving is required during the school year.
Ideal Candidate

Minimum 4 years experience in a nanny or family assistant role

Strong household management and organizational skills

Comfortable working in an active household where multiple adults and children are present
- Experience working with school-age children with Autism and ADHD
